The Nissan Pulsar GTi-R is a high-performance, all-wheel-drive hatchback known for its rally-inspired design and powerful engineIt was developed to compete in the World Rally Championship (WRC) and homologated for Group A racing, featuring a turbocharged SR20DET engine and Nissan’s ATTESA all-wheel-drive system.

  • SR20DET Engine:
    The Pulsar GTi-R is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, producing around 227-230 horsepower. 
     
  • ATTESA AWD:
    It utilizes Nissan’s Advanced Total Traction Engineering System for All-Terrains (ATTESA) all-wheel-drive system, providing excellent traction and handling. 
     
  • Rally Pedigree:
    The car was developed for WRC competition, and its design reflects this, with features like a large hood bulge (for the top-mounted intercooler) and a prominent rear spoiler. 
     
  • Homologation Special:
    It was built to meet the homologation requirements for Group A racing, meaning it had to be a production car available to the public to be eligible for competition. 
     
  • “Baby Godzilla”:
    Due to its similar performance characteristics and all-wheel-drive system to the larger Skyline GT-R, it’s often nicknamed “baby Godzilla”.
